A Romantic Goodbye, Rochas Spring 2014

The very much awaited Parisian fashion week has begun and I have delved straight into the runway pictures, eager to see what the designers have come up with for the next season. Without any doubt, I had to settle upon Marco Zanini's utterly feminine collection for Rochas. Marco has focused on capturing "the translucent qualities of glass, frost, and crystals" after being inspired by Tennessee Williams' play "The Glass Menajerie".
It is a whimsical collection, a charming image of mild colors and shimmering details, an ethereal experience, a romantic goodbye the designer is rumored to be saying to the house after almost five years of delivering his creativity to this label.
